Meet the Healing Traditions Team
Healing Traditions’ founders Gene and Sara both have their Master’s Degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine and share a passion for the incredible potency of herbs and getting them into the hands of the people that need them most. Through research and experimentation, they have utilized a uniquely powerful way to extract the medicinal constituents out of herbs and ensure that the medicine they make is as high quality and effective as possible.
Sara and Gene met while studying at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Sara was drawn to practice after discovering the low-cost Community Acupuncture model and connecting with it as a way to offer affordable holistic healthcare to her community. Gene has a background in working in different recovery centers around Austin offering acupuncture, massage, and martial arts and mindfulness classes, and through these experiences met our newest member of the team, Shea. Shea approached Gene and Sara about joining forces in their endeavors, and since then she has been a crucial asset for us with her background in business, administration, and compliance. With our powers combined, we hope to be able to grow Healing Traditions and get our medicine into the hands of people who need it most, as well as to support local and international efforts to help restore our planet and its priceless resources.
